My name is Ling W., I’m 82 years old and obtained Dafa in 1996.
Some of my family members who live together with me in the U.S. believed the evil party’s propaganda of Falun Gong. When I tried to tell the facts of Falun Dafa to my daughter’s mother-in-law, she said, “I really don’t want to listen. You practice your Gong. You don’t have to talk about it.”
Since 2002, I have started to call people in mainland China to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. Because of my family’s situation, I was not able to make phone calls at home. One fellow practitioner’s husband works in another state, he usually leaves home on Mondays and returns on Fridays. This practitioner then brought me to her home to make phone calls. I would spend a few hours every day at her home. A few months later, my son-in-law installed a separate phone line for me to use. I could make phone calls at home.
I persisted this way of making phone calls to clarify the truth until the year of 2013. During that time, many numbers I dialed were either not in service or unavailable. Even when I was able to dial a right number and started clarifying truth, the phone lines were often cut off. Thus, starting in 2014, I decided to clarify the truth face to face at local Chinese stores during weekends. Fellow practitioners would drive me to the stores. So then I would have more time during weekdays. When I had some free time, I began to watch TV dramas. As a Dafa practitioner, I knew that it was not good to watch those dramas. I would stop for two days, and then went back watching again. My daughter’s father-in-law is an opera director, he watches TV all day long in the living room, it was hard for me to not watch it.
Coming back from the Fahui last May, I started to search inside. Master requires us to study the Fa when we have time, but I enjoyed watching TV! So I was determined to stop. I remembered during the time when evil Jiang visited Iceland, those of us who did not go to Iceland sent righteous thoughts at home continuously for 24 hours. Whenever I heard the alarm was ringing, I would immediately get up and send righteous thoughts. I was very diligent back then!
I plan to start calling China again after coming back from this Fahui in May. I plan to call those people in remote rural mountain regional areas. I really want to follow Master’s instruction on doing the three things well, improving my xinxing, studying the Fa more, studying the Fa well.
