I started practicing Falun Gong before July 20, 1999. I'm fortunate to be a Falun Dafa Practitioner in the Fa-Rectification Period. I am full of gratitude to Master along the way of my cultivation. I have participated to promote Shen Yun every year. I'll share my cultivation experience of it.

In these years, I am focusing on promoting Shen Yun in primary and high schools. Teachers that are part of the cultural field are an important crowd for Shen Yun promotion. Even if the teachers may not be going to the show, they will spread the news to students and their parents, especially to those students who like to sing and dance, have artistic talents, or are Asian students. In addition, there is an advantage; each student has a Friday folder to bring back home for communication between the school and parents. The houses around the good school are expensive. They are the relatively high income families which we shall focus on. If we can put Shen Yun flyers in each student's folder, and the students bring them back to their parents, it is equivalent to hanging hundreds of Shen Yun flyers on door handles. It saves time and effort. The flyers that are passed on to the parents through schools are believed to have a certain credibility, and are more likely to have more influence than the flyers passed out in the street.

It was Master who led me to this road. I remember it was a few years ago when I saw a school on the roadside when I promoted Shen Yun. It looked like a college from the outside but it turned out to be a very good private, K-12 school. I went in and asked the front desk lady if we could distribute Shen Yun flyers to the teachers. She turned around and looked at the gentleman next to her and the gentleman said that we needed to get approval from the upper management team. I quickly took out a dvd player and played Shen Yun video to them. He watched the video and said: "It is so good, you sure can." I was very pleased and puzzled. I thought, do I still need to ask for approval? Then the gentleman introduced himself, I knew he was actually the school principal. What a coincidence! That really made me laugh. I knew that this was all Master's arrangement.

Not very long after coming out of the school, I went into another very good high school and I asked the front desk if I could leave the flyers, and she happily took the flyers without any questions. Yet, based on rules, I needed to apply for the county’s approval. I understood it was Master’s encouraging me to move on this road.

I thought it was easy after having completed these two schools. I then made plans to visit all the schools in my county. I visited several schools, but found out I needed to apply for approval from “Judy”, a staff of the county board of education. I had no experiences dealing with the board of education. I thought, “I just randomly visit some schools and they may just accept by chance, but if I was refused by “Judy”, I will not be able to distribute the flyer to any schools”, so I did not contact “Judy.”

Later, when I went to an office building to distribute Shen Yun flyers, I went to offices one by one as usual when suddenly, I noticed a big name tag of “Judy” on the door. I realized this is the county education administration building and I just “happened” to stumble upon “Judy”’s office. Judy was not in the office, so I asked her colleague to pass on the Shen Yun material to her. We received the approval letter two days later. Master had already prepared everything; we disciples just had to do it with righteous thoughts.

I deeply realize that paying attention to self-cultivation is very important when prompting Shen Yun in schools. One year, I visited all the schools in my home county and I asked every front desk receptionist to put Shen Yun flyers in the teacher's mailbox. It went very well until the last one when the front desk receptionist said that the flyer had to be approved by the principal. I was very anxious since the school holidays would start in two days. The next day I called and I was told the principal has been very busy. What was the problem? I started to re-examine myself inwardly but I could not find the problem. I was getting impatient. At the meantime, a colleague kept on talking to me about all kinds of troubles and I was about to lose my temper. Fortunately, I calmed down, and refrained from arguing with her. At this time, I suddenly realized I had a strong competitive mentality. Yes, that is the attachment that blocked this matter. I shall relinquish my attachment. When I called the next day, the front desk receptionist told me the same thing about how she could not get a chance to talk to the principal, etc. She asked me to come next day, but no matter what the front desk said, I calmed myself down, knowing I came here for the precious sentiment beings. I said “OK, I will come tomorrow.” Then, she suddenly said: "You wanted to send them to the teacher right?" I said: "Yes." She then said: "Oh, you do not need approval for that. I thought you wanted to distribute to the students. I can take the materials over to distribute to the teachers.” I sighed with relief, a hanging weight finally came down. The next year, I visited this school again and the front desk lady told me several teachers went to the show and they enjoyed it so much. I thought if I did not find my attachments, the old forces might use it as a pretext to block sentiment beings from being saved. I just cannot think of it anymore.

We do not sell tickets directly in schools, so this is just like planting seeds. We could not see the fruits and results of our labors. Sometimes my heart will be unstable. On one occasion, I was muttering about how many tickets can be sold from my efforts? Is this an efficient way to prompt Shen Yun? I then visited Minghui website, just to see an experience sharing article from a mainland disciple. She had joined the telephone truth telling project and could not tell if her efforts had any effects at all. She begged Master attunement it. She told a fellow practitioner about what she did and the fellow practitioner immediately said: "You're a good disciple of Master." She understood that it was Master encouraging her through another disciple’s mouth so she suddenly gained a lot of confidence. I read this article and began to think, “Should I also ask for encouragement from Master?” Then I thought about how I had started from knowing nothing, to learning how to prompt Shen Yun in schools. I had heard so much good feedback; I have been working on the project for a long time, but I still have unstable mind. I felt sorry for that. I went to the large group fa study that night, when I arrived, the coordinator excitedly told me that a guest bought a ticket and clearly indicated she received a Shen Yun flyer from school. I was very happy and was also very moved. Master is on our side, encouraging the disciples.

Speaking of Master's care, I want to share a few stories here. One year I went to a school in Coweta County which is very far from my home. When I met the front desk receptionist, she handed me a stack of flyers, and told me that these were extra. We were very careful not to send too many so how could this happen? I did not have time to think, and moved onto the next school. When I went to the last school on my list, the teacher said that she can help to distribute the left over flyers to the students but I did not have enough flyers left over for each student and I was not sure if the school was qualified. I sought Master’s help. I drove out of school to just around the corner and I came into a very nice sub-division where the houses were very good, about 540 flyers needed to be distributed. I quickly turned the car off and counted all the flyers that had been left over. I had just enough! I suddenly remembered the extra flyers I received from the first school I visited, if she did not give me that stack of flyers, I would not have had enough flyers! Now I understand that there are no extra and that everything is in the hands of Master!

On another occasion, we went to the schools of Peachtree City in Fayette County. One school allowed us to distribute flyers to the students, but request us to put 30 bundles with 25 flyers in each bundle. It was already 7 pm after I completed all the other schools with another disciple and we started to bind the flyers. The primary school generally let go the student at 2:30, and the staff get off work at 5:00 pm. It was too late and by the time we finished, the school would be closed. It was a really long drive if we had to make another trip for this specific purpose. We decided to drive to the school anyway. Once we arrived there, we saw a person walking out of the school building. She looked like she had been waiting for us at the door. I was surprised and asked her why she was staying so late. She happily told us that she is waiting for her husband to pick her up. We were able to put the flyers in the school and when we came out, and we saw her husband’s car showed up at the same time. We looked at each other and laughed. It is such a fortunate thing to be a Master’s disciple.

Schools are ranked with 1-10 points, with 10 being the best. We only selected those schools that ranked above 5 to distribute flyers to students, for them to bring back home. Once I went to a school ranked 4, I just left enough flyers to the teacher. After I drove out of that school, my GPS guided me to an opposite direction to enter a sub-division instead of to my home. It turned out to be a very luxury division and the houses looked very nice. I suddenly realized that I should distribute flyers to the students of this school. I went back to the school and asked to distribute flyers to the students, and the front desk lady happily accepted. After arriving home, I re-checked the rank of that school and found that I mistakenly marked 4 for that school, when in fact it should be 7. Thank you, Master, for treasuring every sentiment being and wanting all predestined people to be saved.

There are a lot of stories to share during prompt Shen Yun in schools. My most important understanding is that master prepared everything. I just followed fa and do what a practitioner should do. Till today, I realized that I still have a lot of attachments, and I always feel that I am lacking the power needed to save the sentiment beings. I am very fortunate to be a Dafa Disciple in Fa-rectification period. I will cultivate steadfastly to gain more power to save sentiment beings.
