Greetings Master! Greetings fellow practitioners! I started cultivating Falun Dafa in May 1996, and began to join practicing site at West Gate of Tiantan Park. Since July 20, 1999, I had been arrested and persecuted many times because of practicing and clarifying the truth. I was illegally detained three times, and every time for a month. After the forth arrest, I was sentenced to ten years. I was released in February 2011, but still had no freedom, being monitored by local resident committee, justice department and police department. But I still tried my best to go out to clarify truth. I made truth-clarification materials myself, or got some truth disks and stickers from fellow practitioners. Sometimes I showed truth-clarification to my coworkers directly on my laptop. I have to clarify the truth no matter how difficult it is. It is my responsibility as a Dafa disciple, as well as Master’s requirements.
In February 2013, I came to Atlanta to apply for asylum under suggestions of fellow practitioners. I also participated in Shen Yun promotion in some cities before I got a job. In August 2014, I got a job, but since it took too much time, I cannot do three things well, so I resigned and had a booth in a flea market with my wife. We clarified truth while selling there. We put truth-clarification materials at our booth, and clarified to my customers. My English was not good, so I looked up the dictionary for vocabulary. I wrote down some truth-clarification sentences. Sometimes, I told the customer that I was from China, and was persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since I believed in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. I was in prison for eight and half years in China. Many practitioners like me were even persecuted to death or gotten their organs harvested; I wished more people would know the truth, and it was important to know what is good and evil; let’s become a good person, so we can have a better future; we believed in the creator, but the CCP does not allow people to have any belief; there is no freedom in China, and the CCP is evil; that there are Falun Gong practitioners in over 100 countries, and the meditation benefits people’s body and mind greatly. Usually, the customer listens to me carefully, and agrees with me. They were shocked by the evil nature of CCP, and some even asked for a few more copies and would like to share with others. Some asked me what they could do for us. I would tell them we just hope more people know the truth and have a bright future. Most of them were sympathetic to us, and knew the CCP is evil. They chose a bright future for themselves. To show their sympathy and consolation, they would give me a hug. Among them are Black, White, Latinos, Vietnamese, Filipinos, and Chinese.
A lady in her eighties once came to my booth, and I took the opportunity to clarify the truth to her. She had been poisoned by CCP and did not know the truth. She asked me some questions, including self-immolation at Tiananmen Square, suicide, etc. I told her the truth, and gave her some materials in Chinese. She was very happy and told me to take care.
Once, a white, young man had a booth next to us, and we clarified the truth to him, and gave him some truth materials. He felt that more people needed to know this, so he took about a dozen copies of truth materials and distributed them in front of his booth. When we were wrapping up, he asked for more materials to show his acquaintances. I felt really happy for him. I saw him only that day, and never saw him again. Some people just have the predestined relationship to meet once, if we missed the opportunity, it won't come back again. Once there was an old, white man, his booth was next to ours, and we told him the truth. Later on, we changed our location, and never saw him again. There were numerous such occasions, and they might just be around us to learn about the truth.
There was an incidence which made regret greatly. There was a worker at the market, a white young man. We met him every week, so we did not hurry to tell him the truth. But one day, we heard he committed suicide. We both cried. A life was lost, and we did not tell him the truth. If he knew the truth earlier, he might not have committed suicide. So we felt it was urgent to save sentient beings, and we could not wait. Now, we would grab every opportunity to tell the truth. We clarified the truth when talking with the customers. Once a black young man asked for a discount. I told him that I believed in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, and was persecuted in China. He said in Chinese, “Falun Gong!” I then said since you knew Falun Gong and the truth, I would give you a discount. He was very happy. One day, after an old white man listened to the truth from my wife, he came to our booth for more truth materials and wanted to show it to others. He said that me and my wife were good, and we were together due to the same belief, and he and his wife were also together due to the same belief. I told him some truth about organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practiitoners. He said he was aware of it. He worked in a hospital, so he knew this issue, and knew CCP is really evil. Later on, when he came to the market, he called my name in Chinese, and hugged me happily. Once three black men, two old ladies, and a middle aged man came, they were from North Carolina. We clarified truth to them and gave each a copy of the truth material. The old lady pointed at the middle aged man and said he worked at CNN. I told him that I hope he learn more about the truth.
We also upgraded our xinxing in our business and truth telling. Our booth was very small. In order to increase the profit, we always wanted to put more goods for sale. Especially during Christmas and holidays, our business would be better, so we wanted to put more goods. So sometimes we thought not to put out the truth-clarification materials out, and just put them out later. Then I found this thought not righteous. Master taught us in Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference, “Clarifying the facts and saving sentient beings are what you need to accomplish. There is nothing else for you to accomplish. There is nothing else in this world that you need to accomplish.” So we always put the truth-clarification materials at the best location on our booth.
Sometimes they were two customers, one looking at the goods, and the other looking at the truth materials. Then we would first clarify truth to the customer who read the truth materials. Because if we did not grab the opportunity, the customer who read the materials may have not know the truth before he left. So we had to take the chance to tell him the truth, and it was not important if our goods got sold or not. When we got our mind righteous, we would not lose what belongs to us.
Once, I focused on telling the truth, and had no time to take care of the customer looking at the goods. When I finished telling truth, the browsing customer also left. I did not regret it at all. After a while, the customer who was looking at the goods came back, and went ahead and bought the goods he liked without negotiation. Master said in Zhuan Falun, “If something is yours, you will not lose it.” So whether we could really follow Master’s words in everyday life is actually an issue of whether we truly believe in Master and Dafa.
We work at the market two days a week, and can clarify the truth to about a dozen or two people. That’s 700 people in a year. We met some Chinese when procuring, and would clarify truth to them too. Many wholesale businessmen were Chinese. Most of them focused on making money, and did not accept the truth at all. We then gave them a copy of Epoch Times newspaper every time we went to procure. They could learn the truth gradually.
What I have done is far from enough, and have not done well in many ways. I will do it better in the future, and do well the three things, assisting Master in Fa rectification.
